We were sorry we couldn't make it on Sunday to do the 2nd round of Thanksgiving to be with the Nguyens but we had a great time on Thursday.Yay the Christmas box, time to put up the advent calendar.Crew of course was a big help.Putting the star on top of the tree so classic.The boys playing with the toys that Linda and Steve got Crew for his Birthday, so much fun.I love this picture Crew kneels to play with so many things and it is so cute I am glad I have this picture of him kneeling.Reading his cute baby mickey card.We had Mom's turkey soup and I made a potato cheese soup that we had in those enormous soup bowls. Thanks again for everyones help it was so nice to celebrate Crew's Birthday.I saw this cute cake on Pinterest that looked like a pumpkin and this was my attempt (nailed it) Anyway it tasted fine and that is all that really matters right? We also had cute little cupcake sized bundt cakes for the kids.Such beauties, we missed you Lindsey! And all your awesome picture taking skills.Getting ready to open presents all the kids are so excited.Cute Laina made Crew a card it was darling and Halle picked out this cute elephant for Crew, and I absolutely love his tongue poking out while he tries to open it.Oh Laina how I love you and your faces too cute! Kevin's parents came in to town and we got to spend several days with them. It was really nice the boys truly enjoy spending time with them and we do as well. We went to my parents house for Thanksgiving dinner and it was amazing as usual. Unfortunately the boys both got sick and Connor was up coughing/puking all night long. So we were going to celebrate Crew's birthday the next day but we decided we didn't want anyone getting sick so we postponed and put up our Christmas decorations instead. It has always been my favorite thing since I was a little kid when my Mom would start decorating the house for Christmas and the very best was decorating the tree so I still get excited to do those things and I hope my boys will enjoy it as much as I do. Anyway so then the next Saturday we finally got to celebrate Crew's Birthday. I can't believe it has already been a year since that little angel was born and I am so grateful for his sweet smiley spirit in our home. His smile is infectious and I am so glad to have him a part of our family.

Crew fell asleep after "eating" an Oreo it was super cute.

What a great Halloween we had this year. Connor is finally at the age where trick or treating means something to him. We started the celebrations at our ward party where we had a Chili cook off and costume competition. I made my Grandma's chili and it turned out pretty good and it totally reminded me of the Ward Halloween parties I had as a child. Then we did some trunk or treating which was super fun to see Connor saying trick or treat and holding out his little pumpkin candy bucket thing and then politely saying thank you. It was adorable! That was all on Saturday then we went to my Mom's on Sunday to celebrate Lacey and Kevin's birthday and that was a blast and the "Cafe Rio" salad's were amazing. Then Monday night we carved our pumpkins and Connor loved that and was really excited about putting them on the porch and we got the boys in their costumes and went trick or treating around our block it was pretty fun and Connor was loving all the free candy. I think his favorite part was when people came to our house and he got to give them candy. He was standing by the door all night saying "their coming." All in all it was a great Halloween and we can't wait for next year when both boys with have a lot more fun!

Cabin in Autumn

We were lucky enough to head to my parent's cabin for the conference weekend and it is one of my favorite times of the year. There is nothing more nourishing to my soul than spending time in the mountains. It is especially spectacular in the fall when all the Aspen trees are bright yellow. Even though the boys "slept" terribly I still had a wonderful time and finally got to do some much needed scrapbooking. I love my parents and I am so grateful they are willing to share their cabin with a house full of crying babies. I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures. We were also lucky enough to see the two Moose that live around there and a Doe and her Fawn twice nibbling the grass.

The boys enjoying a little swing.Who loves their Daddy?Connor first experience in a "big" pool it was a lot of fun even if his lips went blue after a few minutes.He was a little nervous but luckily his Daddy "braved" the cold water.Crew was ready to get in too, but I didn't bring him any swim clothes so he just dipped his toes in.They loves looking out the windows and unfortunately Connor was tall enough to reach the dead bolt so he kept escaping out the doors.Great picture Grandma! Why doesn't he hold still like this for me?Crew too cute and a slobbery mess but the next week his tooth cut through so that is why all the drool.Father and sons enjoying a little football in 3D.Mmm Watermelon.Connor was following Sienna around and they became fast friends.How cute is this picture?

Eating some ice cream....Or mostly getting it allover.Playing on a super fun playground that was luckily shaded so it wasn't too hot.And lots of fun running through the sprinklers and finally getting the nerve to pick up the hose and chasing people with it.

We were really lucky this summer to be able to take a fun vacation to visit our family in Star. It was great because we hadn't seen Kevin's brother and his family since before Connor was a year old so that was really nice to spend some time with them. We did a lot of things and took tons of pictures the boys had a great time and I know Connor is ready to go back and help Grandpa with any yard work, and picking things from the garden.

Crew is obsessed with Connor and always has to be near him or at least where he can see him and see what he is doing.

So I haven't made the time to get on the computer to update the blog so this will be a long one folks.

Happy Father's Day to all the father's out there who have impacted my life. I would like to thank my own father especially for the wonderful things he has taught me and always being there for me. I love you Dad! I would also like to thank the father of my two sweet little boys. You truly are an amazing father and I am so glad my boys have you to look to as what a father and man are supposed to be, thanks I love you so much and am more amazed by who you are everyday.

We got to go to the Zoo and it was so much fun and super HOT! I am a stay in the shade or get wet in over 90 degree heat but it was so much fun and I can't wait to go back. I asked Connor what his favorite animal was he saw at the Zoo and he said the dinosaurs so he loved it. He also talks about the train ride we took so thanks again Mom for the amazingly fun day.

It has happened my sweet, beautiful, talented little sister and her husband made the trek across the USA to their new home in D.C. I miss her and can't believe she really lives there but I know she will have an amazing time and I am excited for her. Thankfully everything with their move went great and I am so excited to hear more about her life in D.C.

I had a very sweet and wonderful Mother's day, thank you Kevin and my boys. I got my favorite breakfast french toast and a special gift that I will cherish always. Thank you Kevin you truly are the greatest, I love you!

I also want to say how much I love my mother. I think it really gives you such a greater understanding of who your mother is once you become a mother. At least I know I have learned so much about my Mother and how truly amazing she is. I love you Mom and I know I will never be able to express how truly grateful I am for everything you have done in my life and what you continue to do for me. Thanks. I love you so much!

I can't believe my baby is four months old. It is absolutely crazy how fast life goes when you aren't thinking about it. We had a wonderful time with all our families being able to get together to celebrate his birth. He truly has been a wonderful blessing in our lives even though he started out life a little rougher than I would want on any tiny baby but through it all I know our family especially Kevin and I grew closer together. Crew is the sweetest baby and always has a huge smile on his face and he has so much personality already I can't wait for more!

So I love to read and I love getting new books I am not good at going to library and checking out books I prefer someone refer them to me. But in all honesty I haven't read a book I didn't like. So my Dad lent me The Undaunted I absolutely love pioneers stories especially in my own back yard as it were. If you haven't heard of the "Hole in the Rock" pioneers click on the link and you will be amazed at what these people did. It has increased my faith and really given me a good wake up call to my simple and easy life. Anyway the story is nice because although the main characters are fictional they interact with real people. I enjoyed that because I am a sucker for a good novel and not great at reading most non-fiction. Anyway I recommend it and I really want to go visit these historic sites.

Crew's first bath, well at home that is. Where's his wrist? I don't know but I love that he is holding the rag, he is already modest.

I was making cookies so Connor got to eat the batter off the paddle, I love what a little couch potato he is.

I can't believe he is already two years old it is just insane! We celebrated a little on his actual birthday. He got a new tricycle and a slide from his Grandma and Grandpa Waite! I think everyday he looks outside and says slide? so yes he loves his new toys. We also got a new toy we looked into getting our old camera fixed but the guy Kevin talked about fixing it said it is cheaper to just buy a brand new one so we thought OK we might as well upgrade a little so yay we got a new camera and so here are some pictures that I have taken!

Need some advice!

So I went to take a few more pictures of Crew and realized hey that didn't flash so I reset the flash settings thinking maybe they had been turned off and apparently the flash is broken. What do I do? Is it worth getting it fixed or do you think it would be better to get a new camera? I would love advice on the subject and if you suggest a new camera any suggestions would be great. I would really like one that is faster at being ready to take another photo because my kids don't hold still for long or at all. Thanks for the suggestions and advice.
Oh and an update on Crew we just went to his two month check up and he is enormous he is in the 95% for weight and like 5th for height so he is huge and doing great. He does have a navel hernia which is too bad but with any luck it will heal itself with no negative side effect.

The Ducks made it to the National Championship game this year and Debbi came down to watch it with us, unfortunately they lost but it was an exciting game!

He was giggling so hard when I would take his picture and he was smiling so cute but he wouldn't hold still long enough for me to get any good ones. I need a faster camera.

This was my project for Crew's room that took a lot longer to complete thanks to the "helpful" people at Robert's. I went there and they only had the C and W so I asked if they had any more in the back and she said no but they got new stuff everyday so I thought OK maybe I will just go to the store in Orem. Which I did and they only had the R so then I waited a week or so and went back and they didn't have it. So then I called them the next week and she said they were discontinued...so I had two options buy all new letters or buy two F's and make an E out of them which is what I did. That is why the E looks a little strange.

So I had to take some pictures of Crew in this outfit it is so cute and already way too tight on him. Thanks Ruthie it is darling and he is darling.

Crew is really a wonderful baby and it is a joy to have him around he is super sweet and very loud with all his noises. I feel so much less stressed about Crew and can enjoy him as this cute tiny thing where with Connor I was always nervous about everything so I am really able to enjoy having a baby. It is a little tough with Connor sometimes because he gets jealous and wants to sit on my lap when I am nursing but he is getting better and is now holding his own bottle of milk which is a huge thing!

This was the best picture we got of all of us at our Christmas Eve dinner, and I love how focused Cooper is on Connor, he really was anticipating some turkey falling.

The boys in their Christmas Jammie's from Grandma Wiseman they look so cute and it was impossible to get Connor to hold still to get a good one of them.

Connor revelling in all of his great toys, he was pretty excited when he saw everything under the tree.

We had a really special Christmas this year because we celebrated with just our little family. It was really fun we had a turkey dinner on Christmas Eve because Kevin got a Turkey from his work this year and we just got to have a quiet Christmas.

I am sorry we didn't get to see all our relatives but they understand and I hope they know we love them and miss them! Connor loves all his presents he got which were a ton, but it was really fun, thanks everyone especially Connor's Grandparents you guys all spoil him.

So for those of you who don't know I had Crew on November 22 he was 6lbs 13oz and 18'' oh and five and a half weeks early. I had a c-section scheduled for December 19th but that would not be the case. I know he is almost a month old now and that seems beyond crazy but these last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. So here is the whole story...

Monday morning I woke up feeling like I really needed to pee and ran to the bathroom at about 5 in the morning and almost didn't make it. Now this is pretty similar to what happened when I had Connor so I should have known what was going on but it wasn't quite the same. So basically my water had broke but it wasn't like last time so I didn't recognize it until around 8 in the morning. Anyway so basically my water broke and I am pretty much in denial because that would mean five and half weeks early and scary. So anyway I finally call Kevin and have to convince him that I am not joking and he comes home and I called my Mom to see what her plans were for the day but she was out walking but had also taken a teaching job that day but luckily was able to get out of it and rush down here so we could go to the hospital.

We go to the hospital and basically my Dr. says he can do it at 5 unless the baby or I am showing any distress. It was a pretty long day of just sitting at the hospital waiting being hooked to multiple machines and an IV and not being able to drink or eat anything. The not being able to drink was pretty rough but I made it. At around 4:30 they started prepping me for surgery and I got my epidural, P.S. I loved my anesthesiologist he was awesome. Then they wheeled me in and we were ready to go. I couldn't feel a thing last time I could feel everything except sharp pain and I was freezing cold this time I could barely feel anything and I had this basically blow dryer blanket all around my head so I was toasty warm but I could barely hear what people were saying. Then at 5:18 they pulled Crew out and he was just screaming really loudly so I was hopeful that he wouldn't have to go on the c-pat like Connor because he wasn't screaming like Crew. I also thought he looked just like me when I was born.

Anyway turns out he was having breathing problems so he was hooked to the c-pat and then they finished me up and I went to the recovery room. Kevin went with Crew and when he came back he said they had to put him on a ventilator because he was struggling to breath on his own. That was scary and I was worried but I knew he would be OK, it is really strange how this sense of peace has been with me since he was born. Anyway when I was done recovering, which took forever because they couldn't get my temperature up I was able to go see Crew in the NICU. He was so tiny and adorable even with all those tubes hooked to him and I just hated seeing him like that but I know it could have been much worse there were plenty of babies in there in a much worse state than Crew and that night I believe they took him off the ventilator because he was fighting it and he was doing really well and didn't have to go on the c-pat either so I was optimistic that he would be able to come down to the nursery with me. Because Crew was five and a half weeks early their are many things his body just isn't ready for so he had to stay in the NICU for two weeks. That was really hard because I had to be there four times a day to feed him and just be his Mom but I also had Connor to take care of so it was a very stress full two weeks and it was only made possible by my amazing Mother who stayed with us for two weeks basically taking care of everything, Connor, Cooking, cleaning, playing, dog walking and everything in-between so I just need to tell her how amazing she is and how lucky I am to have her in my life and how I hope to be at least half the mother she is and my boys will be very lucky.

So while I was still in the hospital Connor came down with nasty ear infections and was throwing up and running a high fever and wouldn't let go of Kevin for at least the entire day. So then I was able to go home on Thursday which was nice because my Mom had made a wonderful Turkey dinner and Lindsey and Brody and Debbi were able to come down to our house for Thanksgiving. Thanks to my amazing sister Lisa who made the turkey for us and a delicious Banana Cream Pie! And Kevin and my Dad ran all the way to Orem to find a Pharmacy that was open to get my pain meds.

The next week was a blurr Kevin had to go back to work and I tried dividing my time between being at the hospital and at home with Connor who has gotten very sad anytime our garage door opens. Crew also had a very unfortunate accident that Sunday his IV either pulled out of the vein it was in or the vein just died but he received a pretty severe burn. I know, what, an IV burn. I didn't know that could happen either but basically the lipids they feed into the body through the IV will burn if not in the vein so he had a burn the size of a dime on his inner wrist that is still healing and we have to change his bandage every six hours but he is fine and it doesn't seem to bother him so I am so sorry it happened and I wish it didn't but I know the nurse that was watching him didn't do anything wrong and I don't blame her for anything.

I am so very thankful that he is home now and he has the sweetest little personality and it is coming out more and more each day. He is doing great he has already gained two pounds since he has been home and can't stop eating and pooping, all over everything. Because it is RSV season the Dr's advised us to stay home basically for 3 months so we are really sorry we won't be celebrating Christmas with anyone and if you would like to visit you must not be sick and sorry no kids are allowed and I know I have one here already but we haven't been taking Connor to nursery so he can avoid some contact with other kids for a few more weeks.

Thank you all so much for your amazing prayers and thoughts and meals and everything that we have been blessed with. I know the power or prayer and of the power of the priesthood and the comfort that has brought me through this tough time. Thanks again to my amazing Mom I know I wouldn't have been able to get through all this without her. I especially want to thank Kevin for being so amazing he really has been a huge comfort to me. So here are what people really want to see are pictures of Crew. I think he looks almost exactly like Connor did but I think most babies look the same so you can decide.

Fun Art Project

The elephant is in the new babies nursery, I felt a little guilty that he has to have all hand me downs so this is new to just his room.

I have been wanting to put something really cool on Connor's wall but everything I thought of was fairly expensive and then I had the idea of making my talented sister paint some cool things on the wall. I got a few images I thought she could go off of and then I thought wow she has a life and that might take a long time. So then I thought I should just get these images on the wall with and overhead projector. Great idea except for the finding of an overhead projector. I called my local library to see if they rented them and she said they stopped doing that like 10 years ago or something so I emailed my Dad and he luckily had one in his ward's library and brought it down. I think they turned out pretty good and I had a lot of fun doing it. Thanks Dad! I would recommend this project to anyone it is really easy and takes only a few hours.

Don't look too closely at the cake the frosting wouldn't stick to the bottom half of the cake so it was quite the disaster, sorry.

So I finally took some pictures of Connor in his "costume" mostly it was too rainy and cold to go trick or treating so we just took some pictures of Connor in his Cowboy costume. As per his usual he wouldn't put on the hat for even a second which is weird because he would wear it before. Anyway he is easily the cutest cowboy I've ever seen. I also took some pictures of Kevin and Connor on Kevin's birthday and thanks again Debbi for watching Connor while Kevin and I got to go out to eat for his 31st Birthday!

This is Connor's new dresser we got at ikea, it's super cute and we also got him a new night light so when we put him in his big boy bed he won't go play with it.

This is just a cute picture of Connor feeding himself yogurt. He refuses to let me feed him anything so this is the result, pretty cute.

I am prefacing this story because it is somewhat graphic and really gross so be warned! Ok I just feel I have to share this because it is so gross and funny. So kids and especially dogs can do really gross things. So we were playing in our "yard" and I noticed some poop that was not from my dog I went to go get our pooper scooper and pick up all the poop from the week because they were going to mow the lawns the next day. While walking back from the garage I notice Cooper rolling around and rubbing in the grass of course it is the poop that wasn't his, GROSS! This is pretty typical dog behavior but still really gross. So I pick up all the poop and then thankfully Kevin came home for lunch and he kindly cleaned the dog off. Anyway this is something you normally deal with when you own a pet, especially a dog.

So now it is time for bed so I take Connor upstairs to get him ready for a bath and then in PJ's. We also just bought Connor a new dresser so we could move the changer/dresser into the babies room, so all the diaper changing materials, wipes all that stuff is in his new dresser. Both dressers are in his room so I can still use the changer to change him. Anyway I am taking off his diaper and oh he had pooped. So I take a step toward the new dresser to get wipes and the next thing I know Connor is pulling off his diaper and throws it on the ground covering himself in poop in the process while his poop rolls onto the ground and the diaper lands poop face down. Um Gross! So I yell for Kevin to help me and try to start wiping poop off Connor. When Kevin comes in the room I tell him to pick the poop up off the floor but I can't see it then I see Cooper standing there with an all too satisfied look on his face. Yeah he ate Connor's poop. I almost puke at the thought and I am not sure whether to laugh or cry. Then we get everything cleaned up and Connor takes his bath. I am looking at Cooper just waiting for him to puke the poop up, but he doesn't, yet. Anyway then we get Connor to bed and just laugh at what it means to be a parent and we are settling down for the night when Cooper pukes right on our bedroom floor and you guessed it it was poop puke! oh I almost seriously lost it. Anyway thanks for listening to my story of grossness, but I have to share it it is almost to gross to believe but there you have it.

Connor loves to play on the playground and he especially loves swinging!

Normally Connor and Kevin wear helmets but it was down the sidewalk so I let it slip, but we love riding our bikes especially up at the cabin, Cooper gets a good workout usually.

The new trucks from Grandpa and Grandma Waite, and rolling them down the wood board was a fun game that Connor couldn't get enough of.

These are Kevin and Matt's old trucks from when they were kids Connor wants to play outside with them all the time.

Connor loves his Grandpa and Chocolate chip cookies!

Playing in his fort, the fort was actually another toy of Kevin and Matt's.

Connor loves music so he loves to play the piano, especially when someone can actually play a song on it!

Oh my, yes I officially have the cutest son ever!

Feeding the horses, I love this guy he is super friendly and nice Connor loves to go feed him.

Wow has he got some gorgeous baby blues!

Connor figured out how to open our lazy susan cupboard so now everything in there, especially Jello, is a new toy. Anyone have any suggestions on how to lock that?

These are bird houses that my sister Lacey had a great idea to turn them into haunted houses for decoration. So this was a fun project I did with Lisa and Lacey I just wish we could get together more often and without our kids. I had so much fun though thanks again Lisa for letting us use your house

Connor also figured out how to climb onto our dinning table which is at bar height so needless to say it is only a matter of time before he falls and really gets hurt.

Yes Connor goes down the slides by himself but he goes head first which is pretty fitting with the rest of his behavior.

This is the new stroller Kevin's parent's bought for us and I love it so much I am using it even though I only have one child in it. We also were gifted the matching infant car seat so this is going to be so useful in a few months. Thanks again Linda and Steve!

So this is what you have missed since I am awful at staying current with my blog. Kevin's parents came down to visit and Connor had so much fun with them. They brought him a bunch of trucks and oh my does he love those. He couldn't get enough of Steve and would bring him any and every toy he could, it was adorable.

Kevin had surgery on his sinuses and that was a mess. The poor thing I felt so bad I think medicine does not agree with his system. I thought we would never be able to leave the hospital, and my amazing Mom was able to watch Connor so I could be at the hospital with Kevin. Oh and yes Connor was so sick that he was puking all over and having Diarrhea so yes my Mom is truly amazing and we can't thank her enough for being there, as she always is. I love you Mom thanks again! The surgery went well and Kevin is still pretty sensitive but he is working and helping out at home so things are basically back to normal. That was a rough couple of weeks there without Kevin at his full capacity, he does so many things for us it just made me realize how much I need him and how wonderfully helpful he is, I love you Kevin!

A few days ago Kevin's parent's stopped over for a day or two on their way to Colorado Springs for their new Service Mission. That was so nice Connor only took a minute or two to warm up to them and he truly had so much fun. He will miss them and so will we but they are amazing and going to do amazing things. Thanks for everything and spoiling Connor he loves you guys!

I think that is everything of real interest that has happened sorry that was a boring and long post but thanks for keeping in touch.

Swimming Time!

Here are a few pictures of Connor swimming out back. He loves water and he had a ton of fun in his little pool on a hot Saturday afternoon. Anyway not much is new, I have my ultrasound this Wednesday so that is really exciting I think I am in the nesting stage and so I am very anxious to find out so I can get everything ready for the new baby! Anyway that is basically what is going on in our lives except for Kevin finally going to the ear nose and throat Dr. He has had major headaches all the time and occasionally gets dizzy and couldn't lay on his stomach without his ears going "weird" so he finally went and they took a cat scan of his face and basically has Chronic sinusitis and a severely deviated septum. At least we are starting to fix the problem so hopefully he will be feeling better soon. Thanks for listening to me ramble and I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Thankful

There are many things in the world I am thankful for, but I am extremely thankful for the power of faithful prayer. I haven't talked about my recent trial in life because I have a hard time admitting weakness. For those of you who don't know my dear sister Lacey was recently diagnosed with a skin melanoma basically skin cancer. Thankfully through the power of faithful prayer and the will of the Lord she has been given a clean bill of health and will be monitored yearly. Anyone who knows Lacey knows that she is the epitome of integrity which is why she is friends with everyone she meets. To me she is always my big sister, the one I looked up to and would do anything for since birth, even if it meant shaving my head. She is the one I have been jealous of my entire life because she was just always better than me. I know I am the luckiest person in the world to have been so close to her all my life and I know I will never even come close to being the person she is but I am so thankful to have someone in my life that has truly always been such an amazing example to me of the person I want to be. Thank you for your positive attitude through this it is the only thing that has kept me functioning properly. I love you so much Lacey thank you for the some of the greatest memories of my life, it seems like all the fun and wonderful memories I have are with you and our family. Thanks to everyone who faithfully prayed on her behalf and thank you Mom and Dad for your positive and faithful attitudes I know that has helped me. I love you!

On a lighter note Connor got his first hair-cut and he looks so old and it is weird for me that he doesn't look like my baby boy but a little man now. These are also pictures of when we went and fed the ducks Connor had to be held after a few minutes because he was ready to go swim with them in the stream he really loved those ducks.

I know it has been forever since I have posted, so get ready for a huge long boring update. I didn't post about Mother's day or the birth of my sweet little nephew Taye and the fun lunch I had with some of my roommates the other week, or the piano we inherited and neither of us really play but I am hoping to learn a few Christmas songs. So I love my mom she is truly an amazing woman and what a wonderful example she is to me. Mom I love you and one day I hope to be half the woman you are, thanks for everything you have done for me and for everything you continue to do for me! Lisa had her fourth child, sweet little Taye! He is darling and I can't believe Lisa has that many kids and obviously she is an amazing woman and mother. Also Dale got called as a Bishop to their brand new ward so needless to say they are having a very busy summer! I had lunch with my roomies the other week and it was so fun to catch up and see everyone and see Hayley's sweet little Mercedes, I am so jealous of her hair what a beautiful little girl. Oh we went to the cabin for a few days over memorial day, I think?, that was so much fun Connor and Cooper didn't want to ever come inside and didn't want to leave. Thank you Mom and Dad for putting up with us Connor had a lot of fun being able to spend some good time with you guys, thanks again! oh and we moved Connor into the bigger bedroom so I had to paint and do a few little projects for him. Anyway I think that is it oh and if you haven't heard I am pregnant so yeah we are going to be having a little newborn for Christmas! My due date is December 24Th so wahoo!

We had so much fun this Easter! I love hanging out with my family and Holidays are a great excuse to get together. I miss them every time we leave. Here are a few pictures oh and I dyed my hair with the help of my sweet husband who was hating life but helped me anyway, thanks Kevin. I also got my haircut today so let me know what you think. Connor had more fun playing with the balloon than opening presents, I am sure I was more excited than he was.

All the grand kids in their new Christmas PJ's. I love this picture how fun, we used to get new PJ's on Christmas Eve. What a fun tradition.

Senior Citizens?

So in these times we all are trying to save money so we were thinking we should go change our cell phone plan and maybe upgrade our phones. So we went to the mall and found a little kiosk for Verizon and we were talking to the guy about what kind of plan we could downgrade to and he is like whoa yeah you use about 73 minutes on average and you use 65 a month so yeah we had around 700 minutes so we definitely needed to downgrade. So he looks at the other guy in the kiosk and is like is that senior citizens package still available? Me and Kevin look at each other and I just bust out laughing. So we are on the senior citizens package and that just totally fits our personalities because people and we make fun of the fact that we like to go to bed at like 10:30 at night and get up early in the morning and if we are out of the house after 8 it is weird. So that is my funny story of the day. I do love my new cell phone it is pretty cool I can play songs on it so it has a little ipod in it so that is cool but that is my funny story for the day and I need to post pictures from Christmas and other things but that will come later.

So we had a fun time in Star Idaho a few weeks ago for Thanksmas, as I call it. We spent thanksgiving in Star with Kevin's family and Connor got to meet Gigi and Uncle George for the first time so that was a lot of fun. He had a great time with all his cousins and Aunts and Uncles and of course with Grandma and Grandpa. We also had a good time and we were very spoiled for Christmas, so thanks again everyone you were all too generous as usual but Connor is having so much fun playing with all his toys. I felt bad about whining the other day about being sick so I thought I would talk about all the good things that have happened recently.

My sister-in-law is moving to Utah, so she and her parent's came to stay with us for a few days while they looked for a place to live. It was a lot of fun having then here for a few days and Connor had so much fun playing with them, Cooper also was devastated when they left. Connor loved the pumpkin they brought him from their Garden it was so cute. Anyway I am so thankful to have a wonderful family who cares and loves us.

I started feeling better and my sore throat went away and let me tell you what a blessing that was. It was also amazing because somehow through this Connor started taking a Binky again which has made life that much easier, he is so much less fussy and he is so much better at nursing it is amazing. I am not sure why he started taking one again but I think he might be teething and that helps soothe him. I am so thankful for that it has made life easier he doesn't cry nearly as often and a burden has been lifted because he is so much better at nursing and that has made me a lot more happy. Connor is also taking at least two naps a day usually for an hour and sometimes even two that it makes up for his recent behavior of getting up at 6:30 every morning.

I am also so thankful for my husband who is truly amazing and my best friend. We don't go out that much and our weekends are usually devoted to a nice quiet movie at home and this last weekend I don't know what it was but I just had so much fun and I was laughing all weekend. We usually try out new movies that are free with our cable and we both hadn't seen "New World" which is about Pocahontas-I don't know how to spell it- but oh my gosh if you are thinking of watching that movie don't! It is seriously the most slow, boring, and just strangest movies I have ever attempted to watch. Now I love Native Americans and nature and all that good stuff but oh my gosh this was just super weird and there was no real story being told oh my gosh what a waste of time. Anyway I am so thankful for Kevin and his abilities to provide for our family and to make my life great. I really missed him when he was gone for a day when he went to interview with the FBI in Phoenix. Kevin I hope you get in but either way you are amazing and I am so thankful for you and all you do for me, Connor has a great father and I know one day he will have a great friend in you. I love you with all my heart.

What am I five?

So I have been sick for a little over a week and I am so done. I remember not liking being sick but being sick as a mom is easily the worst experience ever. First of all fearing that you are going to give it to your baby is heartbreaking and secondly not being able to take anything because you are nursing even worse. When I am sick I take NyQuil and ride out the storm in a nice hazy sleep for a few days until it is over. Now it's like here don't get a good nights sleep take care of your baby without getting him sick too. So needless to say I am done being sick, so I went to the doctor because I woke up with my eyes glued shut from goo and puss and let me tell you I haven't had that experience since I was like five and it's even grosser now than it was then. So the "helpful" doctor told me it was probably viral and that I had to basically wait it out but if it got worse I could go get some Rx eye drops. Oh well great that is exactly what I wanted to hear and here it is two days later still with red gooey eyes and a sore throat that is so painful I try not to swallow and I am pretty sure there is something growing in my throat at least there is a little white dot at the back of my throat where it is most painful. Anyway needless to say I am done being sick. I did think that the worst was going to be giving birth with a cough still that scared me but coughing after a c-section sounds OK now because at least then I was on some pretty good pain killers. Anyway I just felt like ranting and complaining a little to make myself feel better thanks for listening.

A whole half a year old!?

I can't believe my darling is already six months old that is half a year! He is so much fun and truly the cutest thing ever. I just get so excited to go get him up from his naps just to see that bright smile on his face that makes my day and melts my heart. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful blessing in my life. He has changed so much since he was born and it will be amazing to see how much he will have changed in another six months.

We just got back from his six month check-up and he is up to speed developmental wise but he is still really small in the 10Th percentile for height and weight, the doctor thinks he may be taking after me, the poor thing. I hope he has a growth spurt planned soon but either way he is still the sweetest thing and we are so blessed to have him in our lives. We love you Connor!

Connor's First Vacation

Well we survived Connor's first real vacation. We have been to my cabin a few times and slept over for a night or two but this was big. We drove for 6 hours roughly and thankfully because we decided to leave at around 7 at night Connor slept for most of the driving trip. We had a lot of fun at Grandma and Grandpa Waite's Connor had so much fun he never wanted to nap so thanks again for letting us come and invade your house and disrupt your lives for a few days we really enjoyed seeing you and Connor just loved playing the piano with Grandma and swinging on the swing with Grandpa. I also want to thank my parent's for dog sitting for us while we were in Star. We really appreciate being able to travel without him it was that much easier not having to deal with Cooper as well so thanks for putting up with him and his neediness. Here are some pictures from the trip and I had my first experience being away from Connor for more than an hour or so when Kevin and I went to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, which rocked, and it was a little nerve racking at first to leave him for that long but I hope he wasn't too big of a pain and it was nice to get away from the crying for a little bit so thanks for that one Linda and Steve.

Almost 5 Months Old?

So Connor will be five months old on the 18Th which I believe is Tuesday and that is just beyond shocking because that means he is only a month away from being a half a year old. Ok when did that happen? Anyway here are some pictures of my darling pushing off the ground on his tummy and some of him naked, because he is so smiley when his diaper is off, I don't blame him, so I thought that would be a good way to try to get a picture of him smiling. Anyway I love him and he has been an amazing addition to our family and I am so thankful for him.

The Newest Member of the Family

Since Connor was born we have been looking for a new car and Kevin graciously sold his pickup so we could have a better family car. We finally got one and it has been so nice to have the whole family in there and not have to sit at an acute angle with my knees in the dash. Here are some pics of it and while I was out there I took some pictures of the horses and barn that are across the street. Anyway we are really excited to take her to Boise to visit Kevin's folks this week and I am nervous to see how Connor will do on his first real vacation. We are planning on leaving in the evening so hopefully he will sleep the whole way there so the five plus hour ride won't be too hard on him. So it is now official I am a "soccer mom" in my SUV although the soccer thing is still a few years off but I can't believe how quickly time flies I mean he is almost six months old...what where did that half a year go?CRAZINESS! Anyway I love being a mom and I am so lucky to have so many wonderful guys in my life I love you Kevin and Connor and yes sometimes I love you too Cooper.

So here are some darling pictures of Connor trying some baby rice cereal, I think they are pretty cute he was smiling because I was making funny faces and noises not because he liked to eat the cereal. Every time he would accidentally swallow he would gag. I love this little guy he has so much personality now it is just amazing and he gets cuter everyday!

So we went to our cabin for the 24Th of July with my whole family it was a ton of fun! We went up Friday afternoon after Kevin sold his beloved truck. It was a lot of fun and I wish we could do it more but you know it is a little bit more difficult with Connor. Cooper loves it up there and is sad when we leave but it was so funny on Sunday Cooper slept the entire day he was pooped to say the least. Connor was great and had so much fun hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa and his aunts and uncles. On Saturday morning we went for a walk it was beautiful everything was really green because it was stormy that night so it was great and then when we were pretty close to home it started to rain and I hadn't brought anything to protect Connor so we ran for it and it was hilarious watching Kevin try to run without jostling Connor. It was tons of fun so thanks to everyone who was there and helped with Connor and put up with Cooper slobbering all over them and getting everyone muddy.

Kevin and I, well mostly me, decided we wanted to paint our bedroom and kind of make it our own. Here is the finished product. It's kind of hard to tell what things really look like from pictures and I forgot to take before pictures but we painted the walls a nice calming blue and we got new bedding. We also made the chocolate linen padded headboard and stained an old dresser that my mother's friend gave us when we first got married. I think it turned out pretty good since we are both first timers at this stuff oh and of course because I am such a baby about the heat Kevin installed a ceiling fan which I love. Anyway that is my mother's day gift and I love it thanks Honey for letting me do it and for not leaving me when I am being bossy and a control freak, Love you!

A little advice please...

So I just wanted to ask all the mother's and smart people out there for a little advice. I am a new mother myself and Connor has been such a blessing and dream he is truly a little angel. I love when he eats great then he sleeps great and wakes up with this huge smile on his face and is happy all the time, but I have been having trouble around six or sevenish trying to get him to eat a good amount because he doesn't have the patients for it he turns his head and arches his back so I can't make him eat and then he is cranky and will cry for half hour to an hour until he finally falls asleep and then wakes up ten fifteen minutes later and will sometimes eat. How can I get him to stay interested in eating at that time? Thanks for any advice you can give me!

Cabin and Family Fun!

So we went to the cabin over memorial day and it was Connor's first trip to the cabin and I would venture to say he had a great time, he mostly slept the entire time which was great for everyone. These are some pictures of us at Grandma's house she was making him laugh so hard it was adorable. Halle loves babies so she was excited that Connor was there and she had to hold him and man alive was it cute she did a great job, she also loved bossing Cooper around but I am pretty sure he had a great time.

Connor was blessed on May 3rd and we were so lucky to have both of our families there showing their love and support for Connor, he is so lucky to have so many wonderful people in his life. It was a special treat because Kevin's family lives all over the place so it was really fun to have everyone come visit, so thank you for making the trip I know it wasn't convenient for everyone but we were so happy you came. Kevin did an amazing job, as I knew he would, and I am so honored that he is my husband and companion what a blessing it is for Connor to have such a great example. Thanks honey I love you!

My Labor Story

So here is the story of how little baby Connor came into the world, for those of you who want to know.
So I was sleeping and had this sudden urge to go pee, now I had just fallen asleep so I was totally out of it and I am running to the bathroom thinking I am peeing my pants how embarrassing. While I am sitting thinking about how I just peed my pants I think no I'm not 4 I don't pee my pants oh my water just broke, so that was midnight of the 17Th of March. So I wake Kevin up and tell him we need to start packing our bag for the hospital because we hadn't done that yet because Connor wasn't due until the 25Th of March. Basically we make it to the hospital at around 2 in the morning and I am having very mild contractions every 2-3 minutes. They admitted us and started me on pitosin(I don't know how to spell it) to get my contractions closer together and actually doing something because I was dilated to a one so I had a lot of work ahead of me. So the next few hours I was having contractions every two minutes and it was really rough but I was going to go as long as I could before I got my epidural. So finally at 7 in the morning they checked me and I think I was maybe dilated to a 2 so I said I will have the epidural now please and that was weird because while they are sticking this needle basically into your spine you aren't supposed to move but all the while you are still having contractions so yeah that is an adventure. After the epidural I couldn't feel anything and I was fine with that so after an hour or so I was dilated to a three and basically my labor "arrested" which is the technical term for stopping so at three in the afternoon my doctor and I made the decision to have a c-section because I just wasn't going to have him vaginally. It was weird because even days before I went into labor I had this feeling that I was going to have a c-section. So I had already had time to think about it and I wasn't overly disappointed I mean I was definitely heart broken but it is something that I have no control over. I guess I am like my mother who had all of us c-section like me because she also has a small pelvis which my doctor told me he was pretty sure the whole time he was saying it would be a miracle if I had my baby vaginally and he reminded me how lucky I am to live in a time when c-sections are available because it would have turned out much differently if I was pioneer. Anyway so the c-section is crazy because I could feel everything and that is something that is hard to describe to people. So it was really fast we made the decision to have a c-section at 3 and Connor was born at 3:28 pm on March 18, 2009. It was amazing Kevin watched the whole thing I couldn't and didn't want to watch the beginning but they held my head up while they pulled Connor out so I got to see him come out and he was so perfect and tiny and it was such an overwhelmingly wonderful experience to see your child and I truly felt this amazing sense of love towards him and for Kevin. Then they took him to get cleaned up and then they started to sew me up and that seemed to take much longer and I remember them telling me only a few more layers so it took a long time and they brought Connor back in to give me a kiss and he had to be put into the ICU because he was having trouble breathing which is somewhat normal for a c-section baby but I was super worried and heart broken so I didn't get to hold him and I only got to give him a kiss and then he was gone. Once they had sewn me back off the epidural was already wearing off and oh man there was a lot of pain but they then took me into the ICU so I could see Connor and oh my little heart he was hooked up to this breathing machine and he was so tiny and I just wanted to be there with him the whole time but I couldn't obviously so I had to go into my recovery room where they gave me some good meds that helped me sleep. Connor was only on the breathing machine for less than an hour but they had to keep him there for several to monitor him, so I didn't get to finally hold him until 9 pm that night and it was so nice to finally hold my little angel and he was even more perfect than I remembered.
It wasn't the labor I was planning but it turned out OK in the end and my beautiful baby boy is healthy and mostly happy so I consider myself very lucky and truly blessed to have such an amazing infant bless our family. I would also like to thank the hospital staff and especially my doctor while I was recovering in the hospital they were all great and I appreciate their hard work. Well that is the story probably really boring and people tell me I write how I talk so if that is true I apologize and I hope it made some sense. Here are some pictures at the hospital and yes I was very swollen and thankfully I have ankles again they did eventually come back!

Cooper loves people to chase him so he will grab socks out of the laundry and try and bate me into chasing him so while I was getting dressed to go on our walk he got up on our bed and grabbed the water bottle off my nightstand. Now he didn't go running away with it he showed me that he had stolen it and then ran out of the room. So I don't chase him because that is just what he wants so when I am ready to go I walk to the stairs and he is sitting at the top with the wrapper all around and the lid chewed off and then he sees me coming and takes off. At which point I see he is trailing a little something behind. Don't worry the wrapper is stuck to his bum and trailing behind him. I almost fell over I was laughing so hard it was so cute he was totally busted so I had to take a picture but it was hard because he kept running away and then sitting down. Anyway I know that was a long story but I love my puppy he makes me happy even when he sleeps right on my head.

Hey everyone I know it has been forever since I have updated our blog I know Christmas I am the worst at staying up to date but we have been pretty busy. First we moved form American Fork to Springville to be closer to Kevin's new work and we actually bought a new townhome so that was really time consuming and scary but awesome.
Next my beautiful little sister Lindsey got married to a wonderful guy named Brody he is great and I am glad he is a part of the family. Lindsey was just stunning as usual.
Then we all went to Lake Powell for a few days and it was awesome! It was Me and Kevin my parent's Lisa and her family and Lacey and hers and we had such a blast it was great. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time while riding the Banana boat and throwing Kevin off it.
Lastly and probably the most important Kevin and I found out I am pregnant! Whoa crazy cool! We are super excited and just last Monday we got to hear the heartbeat so that was a tender moment and made all the awful "morning" sickness bearable. I don't know why they call it morning sickness if it's all day long so I thought that was a little bit of a joke. Anyway feeling much better now and I just finished week thirteen and our due date is March 25th so yay we feel so blessed and happy we can't wait, what a fun addition to our lives!

Also we went to see Juno and it was pretty good, it was funny it reminded me of high school not because I was pregnant in high school or anything like that but just the language that high school kids use that made me think back to those good old days. Now it is pretty crude so I warned you at least it is in the first few minutes but man there were little like 8 year olds in the theater so whatever...

So I am really bad at this blogging thing I just don't think about it enough I guess but I like reading everyone else's so I guess I need to learn how to do it more consistently. Anywho, nothing really new but I guess it was fun and different to spend Christmas away from my family. It was fun though to see Kevin's family all together and finally meet George. Yes Kevin made it back from Prague and he is leaving next week for their big convention in Florida so I will miss him again for a week, but life goes on. I am also sorry to say that I am leaving the exciting world of the travel business to work on being a substitute teacher for the fine upstanding children of Alpine School District. Wow is it just me or am I crazy to want to be a sub? Anyway we'll see how that goes...oh yes also when did Utah become the state with the most snowfall EVER!!!! I mean don't get me wrong I really like all the snow but I just don't see an end in sight.

Hey everyone I am so excited because KOSY 106.5 has started to play Christmas music already on the radio and I am so happy. I love Christmas music and wish I could listen to it all the time. Anyway nothing really new has happened since my last post except that our friend Alex just got married and we went to their beautiful reception and it was really fun to see some of our old friends we had a great time. Anyway Kevin is in Prague right now and he says it is really beautiful and old so he is having a great time touring the city. I miss him but my sister Lindsey is keeping me company. The First Blog Entry

Hello friends and family here is my attempt at making a blog. I would just like to thank so many of you for encouraging me and supporting me to attempt such a challenge. I'm just kidding here is our blog.Well not much is going on in our lives since we are just working fools but Kevin is going to leave me for a week while he is in Germany for work. I am still working for Zonder.com helping people find vacation rental properties. Anyway outside our little family we both got two new nieces Halle and Sienna. They are both so cute and we can't wait to go see Sienna for the first time. Also Kevin will turn 28 on November 5Th so we are excited about that and his parent's just sold their house in Bend and bought a new house in Star Idaho so we are going to help them move next month. I am excited for them to be only a 5 hour drive instead of 10. Also I have a few friends getting married this fall first is Alex and Collyn and then Kate and Zach and Lastly my darling Emily and Mike I am so happy for all of them. Well that pretty much covers it I hope you all haven't killed yourselves after reading the minutia of our life.
